Professor David Dalin to Speak at NDLS on 100th Anniversary of the Appointment of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brandeis

David Dalin, a Professor Emeritus of History and Politics at Ave Maria University, will give a talk titled: “On the Hundredth Anniversary of the First Jewish Justice: Louis Brandeis and the Jewish Seat on the Supreme Court.” Dalin will discuss the importance of Brandeis’s appointment and tenure. Brandeis was the first Jewish Justice on the Court, whose historic appointment in 1916 began the tradition of a “Jewish Seat” on the Supreme Court.
